Jackson Generals welcome kids for ‘School Day’

JACKSON, Tenn. — Thousands of West Tennessee kids spent a day at the ballpark for the Jackson Generals’ “School Day.”

Team officials say each student was also given a ticket to an upcoming Generals game.

“We put a lot of hard work in leading up to the season, and it’s all about the kids,” general manager Jason Compton said. “It’s all about giving families and kids an opportunity to come out and escape for a few hours and just have a good time.”

The Generals are set to host another “School Day” on May 2 and again later in July.
