Supreme Court justice taking ceremonial oath of office
HENDERSON, Tenn. (AP) – An investiture ceremony is planned for Monday for Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Roger Page in the West Tennessee community of Mifflin, where he was raised.
Gov. Bill Haslam will ceremoniously administer the oath of office to Page during the ceremony. Haslam appointed Page in January, and the General Assembly unanimously confirmed him on Feb. 22. He took the oath of office and began work the next day.
Page lives in Medina. His parents have lived in Mifflin since 1954. He was educated in Chester County schools and graduated from Chester County High School.
The Tennessee Courts System said in a news release that the ceremony Monday will be held less than one-half mile from Page’s family’s farm.
