North Side HS names former Tennessee Titan as new head football coach
JACKSON, Tenn. — North Side High School leaders have announced the school’s choice for their new head football coach.
Donnie Nickey, a former Tennessee Titan, will serve as the school’s head football coach, according to Principal Jason Bridgeman.
Nickey will take the place of former head coach Tab Vowell, who decided to step down earlier this spring.
Nickey is a former Tennessee Titans player and spent eight years on the team.
His previous coaching experience has been as secondary coach with University School of Jackson and with Battle Ground Academy in Nashville.
“I am extremely excited to welcome Coach Donnie Nickey as our new head football coach here at North Side High,” Bridgeman states in a release. “Coach Nickey brings a wealth of knowledge to our school and team. His character, personal life story and professional experience definitely set him apart and will positively impact our athletic program.”
