Man Charged with Stealing from Multiple Family Members

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn.- Henderson County deputies have arrested a man for breaking into his own family members homes. Justin Brooks, 29, is believed to hit several homes in the county, including those of his friend, grandfather, and his own mother. A fourth home was also hit but is not believed to be a relative of Brooks’. Investigators found many of the items such as jewelry, electronics, and firearms at local pawn shops. We spoke to the owner, Fred Gurley who said they keep a report of everything pawned, and that helps police locate the suspect. The police or sheriff’s department take our reports, they match or look for stolen items to match their stolen items,” said Gurley. Brooks is charged with five counts of aggravated burglary, and four counts of theft over $400. He remains jailed in Henderson County with no bond set.
