Couple serving life for killing woman’s grandmother, 64
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) – A Hattiesburg woman and her boyfriend are serving life sentences for stabbing the woman’s 64-year-old grandmother to death.
The Hattiesburg American reports that 27-year-old Kendrayla Keyes and 30-year-old Cutrell Smith Varnado were turned over to the Department of Corrections on April 13.
They had been charged with capital murder of Neoma Durr. Her husband, the Rev. Eisenhower “Ike” Durr, found her bound and gagged, with multiple stab wounds, in their home in Simpson County’s Skiffer community on Sept. 5, 2014.
Keyes and Varnado were arrested two days later.
A Simpson County Circuit Court official says both recently pleaded guilty
