Mother accused of leaving children in unattended car

JACKSON, Tenn. — A Jackson woman is facing charges after reportedly leaving her two sons in an unattended car over the weekend.

Yarbrough Child NeglectPolice say Lynn Yarbrough is being charged after leaving her two sons, ages 5 and 2, for an extended time in the 2000 block of North Highland Avenue on Saturday as temperatures climbed into the 80s.

According to police, the doors of the vehicle were locked and windows were only rolled down half an inch.

Yarbrough has been released from the Madison County Jail on a $1,000 bond.
