Trenton Peabody Spring Ball
TRENTON, Tenn — In Action on the football field Wednesday were the Golden Tide of Peabody, as they looked to sharpen up their skills before the summer.
Head coach Shane Jacobs said this time is to fine tune the skills of his athletes and reteach the fundamentals of football again, like tackling and getting low.
“It’s a big time for us, we get to go over the little things and make sure we’re ready to go once everyone returns from spring sports and summer workouts begin, Jacobs said.
The team hasn’t changed much for the upcoming season, but they look to improve and play in December.
“You know we always strive to be playing in December,” Jacobs said. “I think any team in West Tennessee or that state for that matter are trying to play in December. Like I said, ultimately that is our goal if we set one, but we never really talk about it a whole lot, we just talk about getting better with each rep and each day and I think that’s key trying to play in December, getting better each day.”
