PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (AP) – Police say a 75-year-old father shot and killed his son following an argument in a Pass Station convenience store parking lot.
Pass Christian Police Chief Tim Hendricks tells local news outlets that 75-year-old Arnold Scarborough fatally shot his son, 50-year-old Darrin Scarborough, Wednesday morning. Hendricks says the two had been arguing when his father pulled a gun and shot his son.
Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says the son died at the scene.
Arnold Scarborough was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder. He was taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
