George County man faces murder charges in traffic deaths
PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) – Deputies have arrested a Lucedale man after indictment on two counts of second-degree murder involving the deaths of two people in a New Year’s Eve traffic crash in 2014.
Sheriff Mike Ezell tells The Sun Herald 35-year-old Asa Vice was arrested Monday night.
Killed in the crash were 40-year-old Brian Walls, of Escatawpa and 47-year-old Edward Parnell, of Vancleave.
Vice and another passenger, 27-year-old Kelley Burroughs, were taken to a hospital and were listed in critical condition.
Ezell says speed was a factor in the fatal crash.
The sheriff says the car ran off the road and crashed into a tree line.
Online jails records did not list an attorney for Vice.
