U.S. Marshals capture man wanted on attempted murder, kidnapping charges

JACKSON, Tenn. — The hunt for a man wanted on attempted murder and kidnapping charges came to an end Wednesday night at a Jackson motel.

U.S. Marshals captured Anthony Allen, 42, after receiving an tip he was staying at the Traveler’s Inn on North Highland Avenue, according to a release from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Allen was wanted on attempted murder, kidnapping and assault charges in Haywood County.

He was reportedly arrested without incident and taken to Haywood County for a court appearance.

Marshals say they had conducted an extensive manhunt for Allen after warrants were issued earlier this month.
