Drug take-back scheduled for Saturday in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn.-If you have prescriptions you no longer need, now you have the chance to get rid of them.

This Saturday, the Jackson-Madison County Metro Narcotics Unit and the DEA will host a “Drug Take-Back” from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. You can drop off pills or patches at the Kroger Pharmacy on Stonebrook Place, the CVS on North Highland Ave. and the Walgreens on South Highland Ave.

No liquids or needles will be accepted. Experts say flushing unused medicines or putting them in the trash pose potential safety and health hazards.
