Police: Search yields stolen property, 1 arrest at north Jackson home
NORTH JACKSON — Officers removed what they said was property stolen from a local business while serving a search warrant Wednesday afternoon at a north Jackson home.
There were numerous police officers at the home on Brooksies Pond Cove off Pleasant Plains Road where people were seen removing furniture from the home.
The furniture is believed to have been stolen during a recent burglary from Coffman’s Home Furnishings located on the Highway 45 Bypass, according to police on scene.
Crews on scene saw multiple pieces of furniture removed from the home and placed in a Coffman’s truck before being returned to the store.
Police say one person was taken into custody but has not been charged.
They say the investigation is ongoing.
