A local tournament raises money for heart health

JACKSON, Tenn.—One organization teamed up with a local sports group to raise money and awareness for heart health.

Friends of Heart held a tournament in partnership with the Hub City Picklers. The tournament was six hours full of pickleball and playing for a cause.

All funds raised from the event will support Friends of Heart, a local cardiac care non-profit that is a fund of the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation, through efforts like the 4-Minute-City program and youth EKG screenings.

“I would suggest reaching out to the Hub City Picklers to learn more about this sport. I know they do lessons, they coordinate these tournaments and they have the different levels, so those joining us today are a 3.5 dupr rating and up,” said Caitlin Clark, Executive Director for Friends of Heart.
