A new festival celebrates creativity in the Hub City
JACKSON, Tenn.— An exciting new festival kicks off in the Hub City.
The first ever Vintage Makers Music and Arts Festival, a free two-day event taking place celebrating art, music, and community kicked off Saturday.
This unique festival features over 30 vendors selling art and vintage goods at the Farmer’s Market, multiple food trucks and an exciting lineup of live music performances at The Amp. The live performances took place on Saturday from 4 pm to 9 pm.
One of the Co-founders of the festival, Ashley Kate Adams explains what the inspiration behind the festival was.
“We wanted a place for artists to come where we can celebrate people who made vintage goods, but also music. That we believe good music never goes out of style,” Adams said.
The festival aims to offer something for everyone, from art enthusiasts to music lovers. People in attendance will have the opportunity to explore the diverse range of vintage goods and artistic creations, while also enjoying live music performances in a festive atmosphere.
Another Co-founder for the festival, Lakyn Bowman expresses her gratitude for everyone coming out, and to those who have helped make this festival such a success.
“It feels surreal, it hasn’t even set in yet. With all the support from the city, I mean I think this is something that Jackson has really longed for. To be able to have an event where art and vintage are connected together. It’s really amazing to see that Jackson supports it,” Bowman said.
According to Bowman, this festival is poised to become an annual highlight for the local arts and music scene, showcasing the vibrancy and creativity of the Jackson community.
Day two of the festival will be Sunday, May 7th.
