Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Monday

Scattered showers and thunderstorms have initiated throughout the western most counties of West Tennessee and continue to move northeast. Gusty winds, heavy rain, and lightning will be possible tonight but the risk for severe weather is low. Temperatures will drop to the lower to middle 60s by sunrise at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday morning.

TUESDAY
Tomorrow, parts of West Tennessee are under a slight risk (level 2 out of 5) for severe weather with scattered thunderstorms possible – especially during the afternoon. If any thunderstorms become severe during that time, we’ll be looking at a threat for damaging winds and large hail. Not everyone will see these storms since they’ll be somewhat scattered. Breaks of sunshine could lead to temperatures warming up to highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

REST OF THE WEEK

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Wednesday. A better chance for more widespread rain, which may also include some strong thunderstorms, will take place on Thursday when a cold front moves through West Tennessee. Drier weather will take place Friday and Saturday with much cooler weather expected.
