Norma Neyman
1935 – 2023

Norma Yates Neyman, age 87, resident of Oakland,
Tennessee and wife of the late Ray Neyman, departed this life
Thursday evening, May 11, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in
Bartlett, Tennessee.

Norma was born June 1, 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee, the
daughter of the late Joseph C. Yates and Mary Bernice Yates.
She graduated from Southside High School in Memphis and
was employed as an investigator for the Internal Revenue
Service before her retirement. Norma loved her family and
enjoyed going to her daughter’s horse shows, gardening,
working in her yard and traveling.

Mrs. Neyman is survived by her daughter, Karla Mitchell
(Scotty); her son, Ray Neyman, Jr.; and her brother, Robert
Yates (Bettye). She was preceded in death by her husband,
Ray Neyman who died just before their 50 th anniversary; her
daughter, Pam Neyman; and two sisters, Joann Jones and
Linda Sproles.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Neyman will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Memorial Park South Woods at 5485 Hacks Cross Road, Memphis, TN 38125. The officiating minister will be Bro. Mike Hollaway, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Rossville.
