Jackson Exchange Club names deputy Law Enforcement Officer of Year
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — One of the county’s finest got quite a surprise Tuesday will the honor of Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.
Deputy William Holbrook thought he was simply a guest at the afternoon luncheon, only to find out it was in his honor.
The Jackson Exchange Club honored Holbrook with its Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award.
Holbrook has been in law enforcement since 2008 and with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department since 2014.
He works the overnight shift and is credited for his dedication and commitment to getting drunk drivers off the roads.
“These men and women, they don’t get the opportunity to get recognized very often, so we just want to take just a moment of our time and be able to help spread the word, promote what they’re doing out in the community and the good deeds that they do,” Exchange Club President Brad Keltner said.
Madison County Mayor Jimmy Harris was also on hand Tuesday and proclaimed May 10, 2016, as Deputy William Holbrook Day.
