Wreaths Across America exhibit to stop in TN
TENNESSEE—Wreaths Across America announces Mobile Exhibit stops.
WAA’s Mobile Education Exhibit will make four stops in Tennessee within the coming months. The national tour serves to honor those who served and welcome home Vietnam Veterans.
According to the release, Karen Worcester, Executive Director, says, “The mission of Wreaths Across America is to Remember the fallen, Honor those who have served and their families, and teach the next generation the value of freedom,” she continued, “The Mobile Education Exhibit provides the unique opportunity for communities to come together and share the stories of those who served and sacrificed. Through our partnership with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, the Exhibit also serves as an official ‘Welcome Home’ location for our nation’s Vietnam Veterans.”
WAA’s mobile tour will make stops the following stops in Tennessee:
- MEMPHIS, TN – Wednesday, June 7, 2023 –Bumpus Harley Davidson located at 2160 Whitten Road from 1pm – 7pm.
- MEMPHIS, TN – Thurs., June 8, 2023–The West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery located at 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road from 11am – 5pm.
- PORTLAND, TN – Tues., June 20, 2023- First Fleet Truck located at 111 Faultless Drive.
- COOKVILLE, TN – Thurs, June 22, 2023 -Mobile Exhibit to be located at 155 Fairgrounds Street from 10am – 4pm.
- JACKSON, TN – Thurs, June 29, 2023 – presented by The Jackson-Madison Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at Lowe’s North on Vann Drive from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm.
- GLEASON, TN – Fri., June 30, 2023- The Gleason Women’s Club located at Mike Snider Park 506 N. Cedar Street from 9am – 3pm.
- UNION CITY, TN – Sat., July 1, 2023–The TN Discovery Park located at 830 Everett Boulevard Street from 10am – 5pm.
WAA’s Mobile Exhibit serves as a mobile museum to educate visitors to the service and sacrifices of our nation’s military heroes. The goal of the exhibit is also to bring together communities, veterans, active-duty military, and their families by interactive exhibits, shared stories and more. The exhibit also serves as an official ‘welcome home’ station for our nation’s Vietnam Veterans.
When the exhibit comes to town, visitors are encouraged to come out, visit, ask questions and speak with WAA representatives along with volunteers.
All the mobile exhibition events are free and open to the public.
