TeamHealth, state officials announce headquarters expansion

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – State officials say physician services company TeamHealth is expanding its current headquarters in Knoxville.

In a news release, Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd said TeamHealth will invest $6.7 million to construct additional space adjacent to its current headquarters.

Officials said the expansion comes as a result of anticipated growth over the next three to five years, and the company plans to add 250 jobs in Knox County during that time period.

The company is renovating a 62,000 square foot facility located next to its headquarters. Renovations are set to be complete in the third quarter of 2016.

TeamHealth provides health care professionals for hospitals in the U.S. for multiple services, including anesthesia, emergency medicine and hospital medicine.
