Heroic Efforts Keep Tarp on Generals Field During Storm
JACKSON, Tenn. – Staff for the Jackson Generals had to take extreme measures to ensure the tarp stayed on the field during a storm, Thursday evening. Before the storm hit, crew members pinned the tarp down with stakes and equipment, but that was not enough to keep it down. Once the wind kicked up, part of the tarp flew into the air. That sent staffers scrambling to get it back on the field and several laid down on parts of the tarp to hold it down. All of the work paid off in the end. The Generals were able to play last night’s game after an almost two hour rain delay. Unfortunately, the Generals were beaten by the Huntsville Stars, 6-3.
