Family Rescued from Houseboat
Authorities say a man, his wife, a 6-month-old baby, and a dog were rescued by emergency personnel from a houseboat in Pearlington. Lt. Ben McMinn of Mississippi Task Force 1 the water was rising and prevented the family from getting out early Wednesday morning. McMinn says two swift water rescue team members and two Wildlife Fisheries and Parks officials were deployed on a flat boat, and they brought the family members across to safety.
