Teacher accused of striking student, suspended, investigation underway

MIDDLETON, Tenn.-A West Tennessee teacher is out of the classroom pending an investigation from their school district.

Hardeman County’s Director of Schools, Warner Ross said they received reports that a high school teacher struck a student at Middleton High School Friday and are investigating the incident.

The district said the teacher has been removed from the classroom without pay per their policy until the end of the investigation.
