JACKSON, Tenn.- Friday night’s weather was perfect for the opening night of the 22nd annual Shannon Street Music Festival. Hundreds of people were in downtown Jackson, dancing and singing along to the music. Even kids were enjoying the band. The festival offered face painting, rock-climbing and other activities for families to enjoy. “(It’s) so much fun. I did the rock climbing and the little wrestling thing and I had so much fun this is my funnest day in centuries,” said Denise Travis, who attended the Shannon Street Music Fest. The music fest is still a go for Saturday, but that can change if severe weather hits the area.
