NASHVILLE, Tenn.-The state of Tennessee released its report, Friday on fatalities on state roads over the Memorial Day holiday. It showed eight people died during the 78-hours period. That figure is down by half from last year during the same time. During Memorial Day 2012, 16 people were killed. This year’s fatal wrecks involved five vehicle occupants, one bicyclist and two motorcyclists. Troopers say three were alcohol-related.
