Fire investigators: Bolivar home goes up in flames, second time in seven months

BOLIVAR, Tenn.-The Bolivar Fire Department needs your help putting an arsonist behind bars after a home goes up in flames for the second time in just seven months.

State bomb and arson officials are helping with the investigation after a home on Sycamore Street was set fire, Sunday, while it was being remodeled.

Fire Chief Lynn Price said this is the second attempt to destroy the home by fire. The first attempt was made in October of last year.

“Somebody is just doing it to be low-down and mean and ugly. That is my thought and it needs to stop,” said Nancy Geanes, a neighbor.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information in the case.
