Police Still Searching for Naked Attacker

JACKSON, Tenn.- Jackson police are still searching for a man accused of attacking women in north Jackson while naked, Sunday. Police said the first woman was attacked in the parking lot of The Oaks apartment around 2:40 a.m., Sunday. Investigators said the victim was assaulted by an African-American male who had on no clothes and had a t-shirt tied around his head. She said he jumped from some bushes and tried to pull her pants downs. The second woman was attacked around 6 a.m. as she walked along Murray Guard Drive. She told officers, a man with something tied around his head came running out of a tree line. She said he hit her in the head with a closed fist. She described the man as African-American with a hefty build. Both women were able to fight their attacker and get away. The second woman ran to a nearby convenience store. “She came in, I asked her what was wrong and she said that she had just been assaulted, so I called 911,” said cashier Jana Blake. “She said that she hit the guy because he hit her once in the jaw and once in the forehead.” Jackson police searched the area but did not find anyone. The victim on Murray Guard Dr. told officers before her attack, she noticed a newer model, black, four-door Honda Civic.
