Kenton Elementary principal, secretary get ‘makeovers’ to celebrate fundraising goal

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Students at one West Tennessee school go above and beyond to help fight cancer and were rewarded Friday with some entertainment from the school’s faculty.

Kenton Elementary School students surpassed their fundraising goal by hundreds of dollars.

In honor of their accomplishment, Principal Kevin Turner shaved his head and secretary Sharon Wallsmith dyed her hair pink — in front of the entire school.

The $2,300 donation will be made in memory of Billy Adams.
