Final night of Miss Volunteer America

JACKSON, Tenn.—The Miss Volunteer America pageant has its final night.

It was a night filled with emotion, excitement, and one woman’s dreams coming true here in the Hub city. The Miss Volunteer America pageant held at the Carl Perkins Civic Center here in Jackson comes to a close tonight.

“We are excited, especially all the volunteers are excited. I’m sure Allison is excited,” said Lashonda Williams, National Staff Member.

51 women from all over America and the District of Columbia have laid it all on the line this week to receive the honor of being called Miss Volunteer America.

The women who made it to the top 16, 12, 10, and 5 competed in different categories to showcase their talents and impress the judges. Some of those categories included fitness and talent.

National staff member, Lashonda Williams would like to thank everyone who made this pageant such a memorable one.

“It’s a lot of work that goes into the pageant, especially behind the scenes, but we do it for the girls. I mean we would do it another week if that is what it took. We are excited, but we are really excited to announce a new winner,” Williams said.

The top five have who were chosen included Miss South Dakota, Miss Missouri, Miss Idaho, Miss Virginia, and Miss Mississippi.

At the time of this article, a final winner had not yet been selected but was announced later in the evening.

The final winner selected as Miss Volunteer America 2024 went to Hannah Perrigin from Mississippi.
