Former church school principal charged with sex crimes
CORINTH, Miss. (AP) – A former principal at a church-run school is accused of sexual offenses involving minors.
Court records show that 37-year-old Michael Shane Casabella of Iuka is free on $40,000 bond.
An Alcorn County grand jury indicted him last week on three counts each of fondling and enticement, two of sexual battery and one of using a computer to lure a minor.
The indictment alleged that one incident occurred on the campus of North Corinth Christian Academy while Casabella was principal there. The Daily Corinthian reports that at least two other counts involved the same girl.
Casabella could not be reached for comment because directory assistance did not have a listing for him.
