JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson Teen Court program wrapped another year. Twenty-three teens, who range in age from 14 to 18, completed the program. Tuesday, they celebrated their accomplishment. Participants spent the year learning about the court system. They were even able to make decision in some cases before the court. Teen Court Coordinator Warren Edwards said the program is a chance for kids to think about their futures. “From a kids point of view, it’s good to get that experience to see what they want to pursue in their future endeavors,” said Edwards. “They also get a sense of what the court system can really offer them.” Two scholarships were given away during the end of the year event. This was the third year for the Teen Court in Madison County.
