Pair Convicted in Connection with Home Invasion

JACKSON, Tenn. – Two people from Jackson were found guilty in connection with a 2012 home invasion, robbery and kidnapping. According to Jackson police, Desmond Anderson and Camillia Harrison were both found guilty in Madison County Circuit Court, Tuesday. Anderson, 20, was convicted of especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery. Harrison, 25, was found guilty of aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery. They will be held at the Madison County Jail pending sentencing on July 15 in Circuit Court. Police said on September 1, 2012, around 2 a.m., officers were called to an apartment in Hartland Place Apartments, 800 Old Hickory Boulevard. Investigators concluded that the 26-year-old woman answered a knock at the door while holding her infant daughter. Upon opening the door, Harrison was standing there. Harrison then allegedly stepped back, and two men, with bandanas covering their faces, forced their way into the apartment. The pair allegedly forced the victim, with daughter, into a closet at gunpoint. The woman and child were then forced into a bathroom where the woman remained for about an hour. When the woman came out the bathroom, she told police that cash, jewelry and a cell phone missing. Anderson, who is a range I offender, faces a sentencing range of 15 to 25 years, with no parole, for especially aggravated kidnapping. He also faces eight to 12 years for aggravated robbery and three to six years for aggravated burglary. Harrison, who is a range II offender, faces a sentencing range of 12 to 20 years for aggravated robbery and six to 10 years for aggravated burglary. Investigators are still trying to determine the identity of the third intruder involved in the crime.
