McKenzie kicks off summer celebration of “Nights on Broadway”
MCKENZIE, Tenn.-One Carroll County city is preparing for the first of its summer music events this weekend.
The sixth year of the “Nights on Broadway” kicks off in McKenzie this Saturday night on the city’s downtown square.
McKenzie’s mayor, Jill Holland said the live music event is a throwback to the city’s earlier days and part of keeping McKenzie money in McKenzie.
“We’re just trying to revive that hometown’s Main Street downtown atmosphere that so many of us grew up with,” said Mayor Holland.
McKenzie holds the “Nights on Broadway” the last Saturday of every month from May to September.
