Huntingdon church mourns loss of longtime pastor

HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — After decades of service to First Baptist Church in Huntingdon, members are mourning the loss of their pastor.

Pastor Fred Ward was laid to rest Monday after services at his home congregation. Ward graduated from Union University, which led to a life of service across Tennessee and overseas.

In lieu of flowers, the Ward family has requested donations be made to the local church. Ward was 72 years old.
