Tennessee Elite Diesels final tryout
JACKSON, Tenn — The Tennessee Elite Diesels is one of two youth travel teams in the Jackson area. Co-founder and Athletic Director Eric Boyd said the team consists of 75 players in three age groups.
They practice all summer, not to just get better at their craft but to give the kids something positive to do.
“We also get kids that are looking for an out,” Boyd said.
“We got a lot of dads that have been through some things. We just want to be there for them, you know be a good role model and just lead them in the right direction.”
The Diesels will practice all sumner long before kicking things off in their jamboree August 27 at Haywood.
