First ever ‘Bowls for the Hungry’ happens in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn.—The first ever Bowls for the Hungry event is held here in the Hub City.

The Bowls for the Hungry was held on Saturday at the Jackson fairgrounds.

Many people were in attendance to listen to the special guest speakers, enjoy a dinner, and an auction where many beautiful handmade bowls were up for grabs.

The proceeds will go to one of their local non-profit organizations.

Recreation manager for the City of Jackson, Bridgett Parham is excited to be having this event in the Hub City.

“I want to reach out and thank all of the organizations that partnered with us to make this dream a reality. We all work together for one Jackson to make this the best city that we can,” Parham said.

Parham says that this will be an annual event.
