Man Sentenced to Reckless Homicide, Pleads Guilty to Other Charges

JACKSON, Tenn.- A Jackson man charged with a laundry list of counts, the most serious, reckless homicide was sentenced Monday after being found guilty of that count, then pleaded guilty to the other charges. Daniel Perkins was sentenced to four years, today, in the deadly 2011 crash. Police said Perkins was clocked at 80 miles an hour along the Highway 45 Bypass near Airways Boulevard just before the wreck. His passenger, Jarious Robinson, 22, died from his injuries. Perkins also pleaded guilty to unrelated counts including reckless endangerment, evading arrest and drug charges out of Chester County.
