Woman Seeking Answers After Dog Killed

OBION COUNTY, Tenn.- An Obion County woman who claims her dog was shot by a Kenton Police Officer went before a judge Monday, and said she wants answers. Candice White’s boxer, Abby, was shot last Monday after a neighbor called the police claiming her dogs were being aggressive. More than 20 people showed up to support White in court today including a couple who drove an hour after hearing Abby’s story. Judge Charles Crouson told White they would not discuss the shooting incident in today’s hearing. White was ordered to pay a $65 fine, and told she could file a civil action if she wanted a judge to hear her side of the story. White told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News she just wants answers from the officer accused of shooting Abby. “I would just like to hear from him exactly what happened,” said White. “I just have so many questions for him.” White said she was unsure if she would file a civil case.
