North Side HS Band gets $5K check from auto dealer
JACKSON, Tenn. — The North Side High School Band received a check Thursday for over $5,000.
Golden Circle Ford presented the check to band members along with the principal of North Side.
For every car that got a test drive, money was donated to the school. North Side students took the initiative to call everyone they knew who was 18 and older with a valid driver’s license.
Band director Jason Eckford explained how the money will impact not only the band but the community.
“It’s going to be a tremendous help,” Eckford said. “We have a very active band program. We do a lot of activities, and this is definitely going to provide them with a great opportunity to spread their music across the county.”
Golden Circle Ford has been providing this program to the community for the past four years.
