Annual Father-Daughter Ball raises money for Girl Scouts
JACKSON, Tenn. — Father’s Day is just days away, and for many dads across the area they were enjoying Friday evening at the annual Father-Daughter Ball.
Dozens of dads and their daughters enjoyed an evening filled with dancing, refreshments, a silent auction and making memories from a special evening together. Organizers said this fun event also emphasizes the importance of a father in a girl’s life.
“We want our girls to have a great relationship with their dad, and this being Father’s Day weekend we thought it would be a great way for dads and daughters to come out and enjoy each other, have a little bit of fun, raise a little bit of money for Girl Scouts and just enjoy the weekend,” said Jenny Jones of Girl Scouts Heart of the South.
Proceeds from Friday’s event benefited Girl Scouts Heart of the South.
