Humboldt Relay for Life draws hundreds to fight cancer

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — An annual event brought out hundreds for a night of fun to fight a disease that affects millions.

The annual Humboldt Relay for Life was held Friday night as teams converged to walk in the fight against cancer. It was also a time to recognize those who have beaten the disease as well as remembering those who lost their fight against cancer.

“This is our big community event, and we just love it,” said Lindsey Perry with the North Gibson County/Humboldt Relay for Life. “[It] draws so many people into our little town, and we’re pretty proud of the fact that we raise so much money for the American Cancer Society.”

The event will continue throughout the night with games and fun until early Saturday morning.
