Weakley Co. man killed in tractor accident

WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — A man was killed Monday morning when he fell off the tractor he was driving near Sharon, according to the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office.

Prentice Ary, 77, of North Durham Road near Sharon died in the incident that occurred just before noon as he drove the tractor near the intersection of North Durham and Mount Vernon roads, according to a release from Capt. Randall McGowan.

Ary was run over by the trailer that was being pulled by the tractor, which was carrying a container with around 1,000 pounds of water, according to the release.

This is the second deadly tractor accident in Weakley County in just over a week.

Danny Anthony, 56, was killed June 12 when the tractor he was driving turned over on him in the 900 block of Seminary Road south of Pillowville, according to the sheriff’s department.
