Rockabilly Hall of Fame Celebrates U.S. Flag

JACKSON, Tenn.- We are just days away from the national observance of Flag Day, a day to honor the Stars and Stripes. Tuesday night, area Boy Scouts helped kick off a special patriotic celebration honoring military heroes and the U.S. flag at the International Rockabilly Hall of Fame Museum in downtown Jackson. The colors, presented by the Scouts included an American flag that flew over the nation’s capitol. Veterans were also honored. “We hope that they know that we deeply appreciate their service and their sacrifice that they have made for peace throughout the world,” said Henry Harrison, of the International Rockabilly Hall of Fame Museum. Event leaders said the celebration showcases the importance of one of the nation’s most enduring symbols of freedom. Flag Day is this Friday.
