Weather Update: 10:30 PM Tuesday
VIPIR 7 Radar is quiet across all of West Tennessee and should remain that way through tomorrow. It’s still hot and muggy though, current temps are in the upper 70s to low 80s. The heat isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
Tonight, the rain should all come to an end and we are looking at just a cloudy evening. Still warm and muggy with lows sticking in the low to mid 70s.
Tomorrow we will be see mostly sunny skies by the afternoon and the heat will turn up. Afternoon highs are expected to be in the mid 90s and the humidity will be oppressive. Once the humidity if factored in, it is expecting to feel close to 105 degrees at times across the area. Plus, it’ll also be breezy at times with a southwest wind between 5 and 15 mph.
The next round of rain will arrive Thursday into Friday as a secondary frontal system stalls out across the area. The majority of the rain will arrive Thursday afternoon into those overnight hours on Friday. Friday, the system should sink south giving a better chance for rain to though areas farther to the south that haven’t seen much activity.
Going into the weekend we keep the heat and humidity which give us the chance for pop-up showers this weekend.
