Hearing reset for man accused of nearly running over Jackson officer

JACKSON, Tenn. — A hearing was reset Thursday for a man accused of nearly running over a Jackson police officer.

Michael Cole is accused of nearly running over a Jackson police officer after a Friday afternoon traffic stop near North Royal Street and Lexington Avenue.

He faces more than a dozen counts including felony evading, reckless endangerment and drug offenses.

Cole is set to return to court July 21.
