DYER, Tenn. —  City Lumber of Dyer owner Reed Scott Wright said, “when you grow up in these small towns everybody has their memories.”

The hometown memories tour is hoping to bring out hundreds of people to make new memories in Dyer.

It’s a time for Case Cutlery fans and community members to celebrate the history of their town.

Wright continued to explain that “last year there were people from 7 states so we anticipate more people coming this year. It’s a great time to gather and meet new friends and old friends.”

There will be music, food vendors, events for children, and a Dyer historian. Office manager of City Lumber, Beckie Maxwell, has lived in dyer her entire life. She spoke about what makes her town different than all the rest.

Maxwell said “being a small community everybody knowing each other and everybody taking care of each other”.

Family, friends, and knife enthusiasts will be able to purchase knife sets outside during the celebration and inside the store. Before you head out to the event City Lumber owner and president said “bring your lawn chair and come and hopefully the weather will be breezy”.

There will also be a special knife auctioned off and the proceeds from that will go to charity.
