Guy Pryor, the man accused of stealing money from the “Day for Anna Kate” account was supposed to have his preliminary hearing. However, his attorney said they just received new information, so Judge Jeff Parham rescheduled the hearing for Oct. 19.

The gallery of the Weakley County courtroom was filled with family and friends of the child.

“We’re still in the investigation part of the discovery from the state to determine exactly what they think happened or what they think they have in support of the allegations that they’ve made against Guy,” said Mark Donahoe, Pryor’s defense attorney.

Pryor is accused of stealing about $18,000, according to investigators.

His attorney says Pryor will maintain his plea of not guilty.
