Milan police seek 2 in home invasion
MILAN, Tenn. — Milan police are looking for two men accused of forcing their way into a house on Creswell Street, pistol whipping a woman and stealing a safe with hundreds of dollars inside.
According to a police report, two women told officers they were held at gunpoint Monday inside the home. They told police the men repeatedly asked for money.
During the ordeal, one of the women said she was hit with the gun. The two men left just minutes before police arrived with a safe said to have contained about $400.
Officers later spotted a suspect matching the description of one of the men. Police say he ran and jumped into a car. Officers tried to block the vehicle, but the driver reportedly ran into the cruiser so hard it knocked off the bumper. The vehicle was able to elude officers.
Police did not release a detailed description of the suspects.
