Saucier caretaker accused in theft of $7,000 from woman
SAUCIER, Miss. (AP) – Authorities say a 34-year-old Saucier woman is accused in the theft of more than $7,000 from a woman for whom she worked as a caretaker.
Harrison County deputies arrested Brandy Dawn Taylor on Tuesday.
She faces a charge of exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
The Sun Herald reports family members had reported Taylor allegedly embezzled the money from their mother’s credit card and bank account.
Detective Lt. Coley Judy says the 64-year-old woman has medical problems and Taylor was paid to help take care of her.
Taylor was booked at the Harrison County jail and Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray set bond at $10,000.
Online jail records do not list an attorney for Taylor.
