Savannah Bluegrass Festival kicks off 2 days of music
SAVANNAH, Tenn.-“Scottie Baugus and Boone Creek Band” is just one of the acts taking the stage at the 38th annual Savannah Bluegrass Festival at Wayne Jerrolds River Park in Savannah this weekend. Hundreds came out to see them along with 6 other bands Friday night.
Organizers said the 2-night festival features some of the best bluegrass music in the region.
“It rekindles some old memories for them cause it’s the type of music they grew up on most likely, and it’s just unique and they don’t get to hear it every day,” said Wayne Jerrolds, event organizer.
If you could not make it to Savannah Friday, the festival will continue through Saturday at the court square downtown. The event is free and music is set to begin at noon.
