Group holds vigil to remember lives affected by police-involved shootings

HUMBOLDT, Tenn.-Dozens gathered in Humboldt Friday night to remember individuals who have lost their lives in police-involved shootings across the country.

Those who attended said a prayer and lit candles in memory of them and also the officers killed in Thursday night’s deadly Dallas shootings.
Organizers said it is important that all lives be recognized.

“It’s not just black lives matter, not just white lives matter, but it’s for everyone, and i just wanted to, you know, tell the community, there’s nothing wrong with coming together and taking a stand,” said Zharea Walker, vigil organizer.

Organizers said they hope to plan more of these types of events in the future.
